LYNCHBURG, VA – The 20th-ranked Washington & Lee University women’s lacrosse team jumped out to an 8-0 lead Thursday evening and defeated Lynchburg College 15-6 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

The Generals led 9-1 at the half and scored the first two goals after intermission. Lynchburg senior goalie Ji-Young Eun (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) made 18 saves, 13 in the second half, to allow the Hornets to chip away at the lead.

Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown), Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) each scored twice for LC. Sarah Rahl (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) had two assists.

Megan Slosson, Kelsi Robinson and Colleen Evans each had three scores for W&L (10-3/6-0 ODAC), while Kelly Evans assisted on four tallies.

Lynchburg (7-8/4-4 ODAC) hosts Christopher Newport University Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on Shellenberger Field as part of Dedication Day
