Hornet Golf Takes Fourth at W&L

LEXINGTON, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team finished fourth overall in the five-team Buck Leslie Invitational Monday, held at the Lexington Country Club and hosted by Washington & Lee University. It was originally slated to be a 36-hole event, but the weather forced play to stop early after 27 holes.

Mike Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) fired a 119 over the 27 holes to take 16th overall out of 39 participants. Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley), Greg Hanlon (Clifton, VA/Paul VI) and Mike Mann each carded 122s and Tyler Noll (Wyomissing, PA/Wyomissing) had a 123.

Lynchburg will compete at the ODAC Championships Saturday, Sunday and Monday at Poplar Grove Golf Course.
