Day One of LC Track Classic in the Books
Friday Results
LYNCHBURG, VA – There were several noteworthy performances Friday on the first day of the two-day Lynchburg College Track Classic.
Junior Mary Mohay (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) provisionally qualified for national competition in the pole vault, clearing 11’5 3/4" to win the event and set the school outdoor record. Mohay also threw 104’6" in the javelin to win that competition as well.
The Hornet men dominated the triple jump competition, with Ryan Holmes (Glen Allen, VA/J.R. Tucker) leaping 45’7 1/4" to win, and Chris Martin (Roanoke, VA/Patrick Henry) and Brandon Edwards close behind with jumps of 44’8 1/4" and 43’ 4 ½" respectively.
The Classic will continue Saturday at 10 a.m.
