Three Hornets Earn All-ODAC Player of the Week Honors
SALEM, VA – Three Lynchburg College student-athletes earned Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Player of the Week honors for the week of April 9.
Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) and Mary Mohay (Fairfax, VA/Robinson) were named the conference men’s and women’s outdoor track & field top performers of the week, respectively. At Duke University Saturday, Flynn qualified provisionally for nationals in the 5,000, finishing in 14:40.8. He moves up to second on the LC all-time list in the event. Mohay, a junior won the pole vault competition Saturday at North Carolina A&T by clearing 10’6".
Kyle Bradley (Brookneal, VA/William Campbell) hit .619 last week as the Hornets went 4-2 and 4-1 in the league to earn the ODAC Baseball Player of the Week honors. The sophomore second baseman scored eight times and walked twice to post an on-base percentage of .680.
