Hornet Golf Second at Shipbuilder Invite

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College golf team took second place after one day of play at the Glenn Heath Shipbuilder Invitational, hosted by the Apprentice School. Bridgewater (312) led the 14-team field Monday, while Lynchburg was just one stroke behind the Eagles with a team score of 313.

Thomas Pitts (Tallahassee, FL/Leon) shot a two-over par 74 Monday, good for second place individually after one round. Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley) carded a 77, Greg Hanlon (Clifton, VA/Paul VI) fired a 78 and Jason Early (Radnor, PA/Radnor) and Chris Henry (Mathews/Mathews) each had 84s.

Play will conclude on Tuesday.
