Lynchburg Lacrosse Defeats Hollins 21-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women’s lacrosse team scored 14 goals in the first 15 minutes Tuesday night as the Hornets rolled to a 21-0 win over visiting Hollins University.

Junior Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) posted three goals and five assists and Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) and Sarah Rahl (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) each netted three scores. Shannon Smith (Marshall, VA/Osborn Park) had two goals and two assists and Shannon Kennedy (Dumfries, VA/Forest Park) and Katie Johnston (Herndon, VA/Herndon) each had two goals and one assist.

Hollins falls to 0-6 on the season and 0-2 in the ODAC. Lynchburg (5-4/3-1 ODAC) travels to Greensboro College Friday for non-conference play at 4 p.m.
