LEXINGTON, VA – The Washington & Lee University baseball team swept Lynchburg College Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) doubleheader.

Senior Jason Kelly (Colonial Heights, VA/Colonial Heights) threw a nice game in defeat, working five innings with seven strikeouts, allowing seven hits and two earned runs. LaBrie finished 2-4, while W&L’s Terrence McKelvey and Richard Garland were each 2-3.
The Hornets led 5-0 in the nightcap, but W&L scored in each of the last five innings to post a 6-5 come-from-behind win. The Generals scored the winning run in the ninth without benefit of a hit, winning on a one-out sacrifice fly. Kyle Bradley (Brookneal, VA/William Campbell) was 2-4 for Lynchburg, while Cameron Grant (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) had a two-run single in the third inning. D.W. Moore (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) started the game for LC on the hill, getting a no-decision after throwing six innings of six-hit ball with two earned runs.
