Tufts’ Powers Past Hornet Baseball 7-3

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup at Fox Field to the visiting Tufts Jumbos Tuesday, 7-3.

Ronnie LaBrie (Vinton, VA/Staunton River) went 2-for-4 and drove in all three Hornet runs. LaBrie plated two runs with a third-inning home-run and drove in another on a fifth inning double. Jon Crews (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) went 2-for-4 and Cameron Grant (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) went 2-for-3 and stole a base.

The Jumbos were led by Steve Ragonese and Chris Decembrele who teamed up for five RBI and two homers.

The Hornets take on Ferrum College at 6 p.m. at City Stadium later today.
