For immediate release – 3/19/2007 - #246 Hornets Nab ODAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week Honors SALEM, VA – Lynchburg College student-athletes were selected Monday as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Lacrosse Players of the Week for the week of March 19.
The Hornets (3-3) travel to Bridgewater College Tuesday for an ODAC contest at 4 p.m.
Sophomore Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) was named the ODAC’s Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week. He led the Hornets to a pair of wins over teams with combined records of 8-1 last week. Tolson scored five times to give LC a 13-4 win over the College of Wooster Wednesday evening, and followed up with five goals and an assist in a 17-3 win over Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday. Tolson has 26 goals and three assists this season, netting at least five goals in every contest. Lynchburg (5-0), ranked fourth this week in NCAA Division III, hosts Trinity College (CT) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ### |
