LC Women’s Lax Defeats Methodist 17-5

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Lynchburg College women’s lacrosse team scored the first seven goals of the game and breezed to a 17-5 win over Methodist College in non-conference play Saturday.

Freshman Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) tallied four goals and an assist for Lynchburg, and Michelle Chartier (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame) also netted four scores. Deana Welsch (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) scored twice and had an assist and Gina Davis (Aberdeen, MD/Edgewood) scored twice. Katie Johnson (Herndon, VA/Herndon) had two goals and an assist while Ji-Young Eun (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) made six saves.

Lauren McGonagle had two goals and two assists for Methodist (2-5).

The Hornets (3-3) travel to Bridgewater College Tuesday at 4 p.m. for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.
