Lynchburg College announces its Transfer Scholarship Competition for all full-time, traditional age students applying for the Fall 2008 semester. Awards range from $1,500-$3,500 and are in addition to the scholarships listed below. Students must apply by March 10 in order to compete.
All admitted transfer students are automatically considered for academic scholarships when they are admitted to the College. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $10,000 for the 2008-2009 academic year. These scholarships are awarded to traditional full-time transfer students based on college grade point average for all course work attempted. No separate scholarship application is required. Transfer students must have at least twelve transfer credits to be considered. Some highlights of our transfer scholarship structure are shown in the table below.
Scholarship Name | Amount | Minimum Academic Requirements |
| Trustee Transfer Scholarship | $10,000 | 3.50 or greater GPA on all coursework |

Scholarships may have different academic expectations from federal, state, and College need-based aid. Scholarship recipients should refer to their scholarship letters for academic standards required for renewal. In addition to the first year, scholarships are renewable for each year that the student attends Lynchburg College if renewal eligibility is maintained.
Students may receive only one of these awards.
Students enrolled in our Access program (adult learners age 25 and older) are not eligible for these awards. However, these students do receive a discounted tuition rate.
