Villa Julie Bests LC Women’s Lacrosse 15-12

LYNCHBURG, VA – Cat Connelly scored four times as the Villa Julie College women’s lacrosse team defeated Lynchburg College 15-12 Tuesday in non-conference play.

The Mustangs led 8-5 at the half and opened a 14-7 advantage midway through the second half. The Hornets closed the lead by scoring five of the game’s last six goals.

Junior Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) scored four times for LC, and Sarah Rahl (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) posted three goals. Kathryn Ollice (West Chester, PA/West Chester) delivered two goals and an assist.

Jamie Jones added three scores for Villa Julie (2-4), while Meghan Smith and Lauren Zegowitz each tallied two goals and an assist.

The Hornets (2-3) travel to Methodist College Saturday for a non-conference contest at 1 p.m.
