Hornet Golf Opens 2007 Spring Season at NC Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT, NC – The Lynchburg College golf team opened its 2007 spring season Monday at the two-day Don Scalf Invitational – hosted by North Carolina Wesleyan College. Play was held at the par 72 Hickory Meadows Golf Course.

Sophomore Thomas Pitts (Tallahassee, FL/Leon) paced LC with a 75, and Jason Early (Radnor, PA/Radnor) fired a 78. Greg Hanlon (Clifton, VA/Paul VI) and Michael Butzgy (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) each shot 83s, while Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley) carded an 85.

Play will continue on Tuesday.
