For immediate release – 2/10/2007 - #180 LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore center Curtis Peery scored 12 straight points for the Roanoke College men’s basketball team during a crucial second-half stretch to key a 69-56 Maroon win over Lynchburg College Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game. The Maroons led 32-23 at the half and extended the lead to 47-32 with 12:15 left on the game clock. The Hornets fought almost the whole way back, using a 22-8 run to climb to within one point at 55-54 with 4:20 remaining.
