About Us Academics Admissions Athletics Giving to the College Graduate Studies Library Student Life

Grace Rochfort, a Lynchburg College junior from Baltimore, recently won a student Silver Award from the 2005-2006 Western Virginia ADDY held in Roanoke. She is the second student in three semesters to win this prestigious, juried graphic design award. The event was sponsored by the Advertising Federation of the Roanoke Valley. The ADDY Awards are the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, recognizing creative excellence and the best advertising worldwide.

Rochfort and her fellow students in the LC graphic design program are also getting an opportunity to showcase their computer graphics and design skills abroad. LC is hosting a student art exchange exhibition with the University of Wollongong Australia and George Mason University from March 15 to 31. The art from abroad is being displayed in Centennial Hall. Dr. Woody Greenberg, professor of communication studies, opened the exhibition in Australia.
