The former dean of the School of Communication and the Arts, Dr. Greenberg joined the Lynchburg College faculty in 1983. He has obtained numerous grants for the College including grants from the Jesse Ball DuPont Fund with Dr. Edward Polloway, vice president for community advancement, and the Donovan Foundation to support the Donovan Media Development Center in the newly completed Centennial Hall.
He has served in other capacities at the College, including program coordinator in communication studies and as a member of the Campus Life Policies Committee and Faculty Steering Committee.
Active in his community, Dr. Greenberg is currently serving as vice president of the Nelson County Museum of Rural History Board of Directors and is on the Board of Directors for the Nelson County Education Foundation and the Nelson County Community Development Foundation. He is a former member of the Nelson County Board of Supervisors and Blue Ridge Medical Center Board of Directors. He is the recipient of several community service awards, including The Volunteer of the Year Award of the Virginia Primary Care Association and the Community Service Award of the Monticello Area Community Action Agency.
Dr. Greenberg holds a B. A. degree from Brown University, and an M.A. and ED.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University.
