Lauren Askey and Kim Vaughan Named Women’s Soccer All-State
Askey a First-Teamer

LYNCHBURG, VA – Lynchburg College junior Lauren Askey (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven) and senior Kim Vaughan (Baltimore, MD/Parkville) each recently earned Women’s Soccer College Division All-State honors.

Askey, a defender, received first-team all-state honors. She also earned second-team All-Region and first-team all-conference accolades. She was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women’s Soccer Scholar Athlete of the Year and posted two goals and an assist.

Vaughan, a midfielder, earned second-team all-state honors. She earned first-team all-region and all-conference honors for the fourth-straight season and is a two-time All-American. Vaughan scored four goals this year - including a pair of game-winners.

The Hornets finished the season 10-6-3 and 6-4-1 in league play.
