The Hornets led 38-35 at the half and the lead changed hands several times early in the second stanza. LC led 57-53 with 8:14 left in the contest and used a 6-0 spurt to open a 10-point edge. Snead grabbed her game-high rebound total in just 20 minutes of play, and snared 18 second-half boards. Senior forward Jessie Bridge (Stuarts Draft, VA/Stuarts Draft) had 15 points on seven of eight shooting and added seven rebounds, while Brittany Dahn (Glen Allen, VA/Deep Run) had 12 points. Kristina Darby (Tampa, FL/Holy Names) and Dana Esposito (New Port Richie, FL/Holy Names) each scored nine points. Lauren Habel hit four three-pointers to finish with a game-high 18 points with seven rebounds for Emory & Henry (2-2/0-1ODAC). Katherine Brandt posted 10 points and seven rebounds and Kiyett Brown tallied seven points, 10 caroms and four assists. Lynchburg (1-3/1-1) host Randolph-Macon Woman’s College Tuesday at 7 p.m. in another ODAC match-up. ### |
