LC Men’s Soccer Defeats Guilford 1-0

GREENSBORO, NC – Freshman midfielder Josh Reed (Newark, DE/Caravel Academy) scored early in the second half Saturday to give the Lynchburg College men’s soccer team a 1-0 win at Guilford College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

Reed scored an unassisted tally in the 52nd minute – to give LC its fifth-straight victory. The Hornets out shot the Quakers 18-3 and held a 15-0 edge in corner kicks. Marcus Jodan (Lynchburg, VA/Germantown) made one stop and earned the shutout win in net.

The Hornets (10-4-2/5-1-2 ODAC) travel to Washington & Lee University Wednesday at 4 p.m. in another ODAC contest.
