Lynchburg Women’s Soccer Battles Virginia Wesleyan To A 0-0 Draw

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College women’s soccer team battled to a double-overtime 0-0 draw against the visiting Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan College Saturday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) clash.

Ashley Stern (King’s Park, NY/King’s Park) recorded five saves for the Hornets, while Lindsey Williams stopped three shots for Virginia Wesleyan. Lynchburg and Virginia Wesleyan (12-3-2/7-1-2 ODAC) each fired 11 shots and each earned two corner kicks.

Lynchburg (10-5-2/6-4-1 ODAC) travels to Fayetteville, NC, on Tuesday to face Methodist College at 3 p.m. in a non-conference match.
