RA Evaluations

The Office of Residence Life is committed to our mission, namely the development of safe and secure residential facilities that promote the development of learning and growth.  Fundamental to this mission is the Resident Assistant staff.  RAs are students just like you, but are entrusted with a great deal of responsibility.  Staff members receive countless hours of training and professional development opportunities and their fundamental job is to build community.

Twice a year, we conduct a formal evaluation to find out how our staff is doing.  We really value the input of you, the residents, to let us know how things are going.  While the RAs job description itself is long and detailed, their basic responsibilities, under the umbrella of building community, include:

  • Being available for residents and assisting with transitional, academic, and social issues;
  • Providing educational and social programs to compliment the academic experience;
  • Respond to issues and crisis including work orders, roommate disputes, etc;
  • Enforce the community charter outlined by the College and the residents of the floor;

What we ask is that you take a few minutes to complete an online survey about your experiences working with your RA.  This survey will take no more than 10 minutes and while there are pull down windows, there are also areas for comments.  Comments are very helpful to us also. Please click on the this link to complete the survey (online survey).

Thank you for helping us improve our program.
