Lynchburg Men’s Soccer Defeats Shenandoah 1-0
AMHERST, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s soccer team defeated Shenandoah University 1-0 Tuesday in a non-conference match.
Maurwyn Bowen (Gaithersburg, MD) scored the game-winning goal in the 49th minute off a pass from Stephen Brooks (Vienna, VA), and Marcus Jordan (Lynchburg, VA) recorded four saves for the Hornets.
Lynchburg out shot Shenandoah (0-10-2) 19-8 and enjoyed a 6-2 edge in corner kicks. Brian Garretson stopped eight shots for the Shenandoah Hornets.
Lynchburg (9-4-2) travels to Greensboro, NC, to face Guilford College on Saturday at 3 p.m. in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
