Lynchburg Men’s Soccer Defeats Bridgewater 1-0

AHMERST, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s soccer team defeated Bridgewater College 1-0 on Saturday to take first place in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).

Brandon Flowers (Waynesboro, VA) scored the game winner 67:34 into the game off a pass from Keith Brown (Milford, DE). Lynchburg played stingy defense on the day, holding Bridgewater to just six shots and zero shots on goal.

Lynchburg out shot Bridgewater (6-7-1/2-2) 27-6 and enjoyed a 7-1 edge in corner kicks. Mitch Hammersly recorded eight saves for Bridgewater.

Lynchburg (8-4-2/4-1-2 ODAC) returns to action on Tuesday to face the Shenandoah University Hornets in a non-conference match.
