Music Scholarship Competition

Brass Ensemble performing

Each year the music program provides students with opportunities for vocal and instrumental performance, internships, and meaningful faculty relationships that are unique to the liberal arts college experience.

While all students are encouraged to participate in music at the college level, this is the fifth year that freshmen and transfer students with special talents and abilities in music will be recognized with individual scholarships. Lynchburg College is proud to host the Music Scholarship Competition to recognize outstanding music talent among prospective students. Music scholarships are renewable for three additional years beyond the freshman year. In addition, music scholarship awards may be combined with other merit-based scholarships awarded by the college. All freshmen and transfer students are eligible and encouraged to apply, regardless of major.

The Scholarships

$1,000, $2,000, and $3,000 awards
($4,000, $8,000, and $12,000, four-year totals respectively)
