LC Field Hockey Scores 4-2 Win at Va. Wesleyan

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Four different players scored Saturday afternoon as the Lynchburg College field hockey team defeated Virginia Wesleyan College 4-2 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.

Senior Laura Christianson (Virginia Beach, VA/Tallwood) opened the scoring at the 13:14 mark of the first half, and senior Morgan Crandall (Belfast, ME/Belfast) followed with another score three minutes later on a penalty stroke. LC entered halftime ahead 2-0, but the Marlins scored after intermission to close the gap to one. Lynchburg’s Allie Weir (Richmond, VA/James River) and Samantha Howard (Fairfax Station, VA/W.T. Woodson) added second-half scores to put the game out of reach. Elizabeth Foskey (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) made six stops for LC.
