Lynchburg Defeats Hollins Soccer 10-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore forward Amanda Koslow (Warrenton, VA/Fauquier) posted a hat trick Saturday as the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team defeated Hollins University 10-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.

The Hornets got on the board just 40 seconds into the contest as Sara Butsavage (Virginia Beach, VA/First Colonial) scored from Lauren Askey (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven), and LC would score seven more times before intermission.

Junior Audrea Hamby (Lutherville, MD/Towson) tallied two goals and an assist and Catherine Adams (Lynchburg, VA/E.C. Glass) had a goal and an assist. Ashley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon), Cyndl Brown (Fremont, CA/Washington) and Ashley Meyer (Springfield, MO/Glendale) each scored once.

The Hornets out shot Hollins 38-1 and held an 8-0 edge in corner kicks. Eliza Broaddus made nine saves for Hollins (1-6/0-3 ODAC).

Lynchburg (6-0-1/3-0 ODAC) hosts Christopher Newport University Sunday at 1 p.m.
