Ashley Hoath Nets Hat Trick as LC Defeats R-MWC 11-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – Freshman midfielder Ashley Hoath (Alexandria, VA/Mount Vernon) scored three times Tuesday as the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team defeated Randolph-Macon Woman’s College 11-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

The Hornets scored six goals in the first half and added five tallies after intermission. Junior Lauren Askey (Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame) scored two times, and Christina DiLiddo (Sutton, MA/Holy Name), Amanda Koslow (Warrenton, VA/Fauquier), Cyndl Brown (Fremont, CA/Washington), Jessica Cullen (Bradford, NH/Bradford), Emily Sledd (Mechanicsville, VA/Lee-Davis) and Sara Butsavage (Virginia Beach, VA/First Colonial) had one goal.

LC out shot the Wildcats 39-1 and had an 11-0 edge in corner kicks.

The Hornets (5-0-1/2-0 ODAC) host Hollins University Saturday on the Faculty Drive Fields at noon.
