For immediate release – 9/18/2006 - #039 Hornet Golf Improves on Day Two of Madison Edgewood Tourney SUN PRAIRIE, WI – The Lynchburg College golf team shaved 11 strokes off its team score Monday on the final day of play at the Madison Edgewood Tournament on the Oaks Golf Course. The Hornets shot a 322 on Monday after combining for 333 on Sunday. Only three other teams improved their scores on day two of the 18-team tournament. LC placed eighth overall. Junior Jason Early (Radnor, PA/Radnor) fared best for Lynchburg on Monday, shooting a 79 on the par 71 course. Chris Henry (Mathews, VA/Mathews) fired an 80, Ryan White (Round Hill, VA/Loudoun Valley) scored an 81, Michael Stultz (Chesapeake, VA/Great Bridge) carded an 82 and Mike Mann finished with 83. The Hornets will next compete at the Southern Virginia University Tournament Oct. 4-5. ### |
