LC Women’s Soccer Defeats Bridgewater 1-0

BRIDGEWATER, VA – Senior forward Christina DiLiddo (Sutton, VA/Holy Name) scored just before halftime to lift the Lynchburg College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win Saturday at Bridgewater College in an Old dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game.

DiLiddo scored an unassisted goal at the 40:41 mark and the Hornet defense limited the Eagles to just one shot on net for the 90-minute contest. Junior Ashley-Taylor Fuller (Mt. Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley) made one save to post the shutout.

Lynchburg fired 20 shots for the game and held a 10-1 edge in corner kicks. Megan Jarrell made 11 stops for Bridgewater (0-6/0-1 ODAC).

The Hornets (4-0-1) travel to Randolph-Macon Woman’s College Tuesday at 4 p.m. for another ODAC match.
