Bridgewater Volleyball Defeats LC in Four Games

LYNCHBURG, VA – Bridgewater College head volleyball coach Mary Frances Heishman notched her 600th career win Tuesday evening as the Eagles defeated Lynchburg College 30-28, 17-30, 30-12, 30-23 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

Freshman Chelsea Jones (Richmond, VA/Monacan) posted 10 kills and 11 digs for LC, Dara Sandifer (Monroe, VA/Holy Cross) had 30 assists and Ashley Martin (Charlottesville, VA/Western Albemarle) had 23 digs. Katie Warlick (Stafford, VA/Colonial Forge) had 12 digs and Carrington Cardwell (Gladys, VA/Rustburg) had seven kills and four blocks.

Heishman has coached at Bridgewater for 31 years and has posted all 600 wins at the school.

The Hornets (3-6/0-1 ODAC) travel to Roanoke College Friday for another conference match at 6:30 p.m.
