Hornet Field Hockey Wins 1-0 at McDaniel

WESTMINSTER, MD – Senior Ariana Kleeman (Ocean City, Ocean City) scored nine minutes into the game and the Lynchburg College field hockey team defeated McDaniel College (MD) 1-0 in a non-conference game Sunday.

Kleeman scored at the 8:59 mark of the first half on a Jessi Bowman (Midlothian, VA/Clover Hill) assist. Senior Elizabeth Foskey (Williamsburg, VA/Jamestown) and sophomore Becca Graham (Meadowbrook, PA/New Church) shared time in the LC net to hold McDaniel scoreless.

Lynchburg (3-1) out shot the Green Terror 9-3 and held a 6-1 edge in penalty corners. Erika Wawzyanick made five stops for McDaniel (1-3).

The Hornets travel to Eastern Mennonite University Friday for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game at 6 p.m.
