FreshmanFreshman (2008): Finished 12th overall in his first meet as a collegiate, clocking a time of 28:30, which was second among Hornet finishers . . . placed in 48th place, crossing the finish line in a time of 27:47 . . . ran a 13:11 at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational, finishing 51st overall over the 4K course . . . was LC's fifth finisher at the Pre-NCAA South/SE Regional meet in San Antonio, finishing 21st (27:28) as Lynchburg finished third in the meet . . . finished 106th overall at the Gettysburg Invite in a time of 28:01 . . . ran well for LC in the ODAC Championships, just missing scoring with a time of 26:48, a personal-best.
Before LC: Was a standout at Somers HS in Somers, NY . . . Was a All-League, All-County, All-Section, All-State and All-American runner for the Tuskers . . . helped Somers HS to state second place finishes twice.
Personal: Son of Scott and Jackie Apgar . . . brother, Rich, is a member of the Track and Cross Country teams at LC . . . business management major . . . also runs for the LC Track team.
