Senior (2009): Posted another great season between the pipes for the Hornets . . . started and played in all 23 games for LC this season, making 71 saves on the year, allowing just 1.49 goals per contest . . . posted a 18-5 record on the year, finishing with three solo shutouts . . . made a season-high 16 saves against Lebanon Valley on Sept. 12 . . . followed the Leb. Val. game with a 10 save outing against No. 1 Messiah.
Junior (2008): Enjoyed another fine season as the starting netminder for the Hornets . . . very instinctive and knowledgable keeper . . . started and played in every LC contest this season . . . played in 1,560 minutes in net this season, going 18-6 for the campaign . . . posted four solo shutouts this season . . . shutout NCAA qualifier Sewanee: University of the South twice . . . played impressively in the NCAA contest against Ursinus, stopping 12 shots . . . helped LC to a second-place ranking in goals allowed per game in the ODAC this season . . . her 1.79 goals against average was second in the league . . . made 87 saves on the year . . . started the past 48 games in net for LC.
Sophomore (2007): Emerged as the starter in the cage for the Hornets in her second year . . . started all 24 games and played in all but 24 minutes of the season . . . made 82 saves in goal, posting 10 shutouts and allowing less that one goal per game.
Freshman (2006): Played in eight games as a Lynchburg newcomer . . . made three saves in net for LC, minding the goal for 165 minutes her freshman year . . . helped LC to win the ODAC Championship.
Before LC: Lettered as a member of the Brandywine Bulldogs and for head coach Willy Miranda . . . started for three years, earning first-team All-Blue Hen Conference honors twice . . . was named to the All-Delaware first team her senior season . . . led the Bulldogs to a conference championship in 2005 . . . also played basketball for BHS.
Personal: Is the daughter of Thomas of Janet Cates . . . has one sister . . . is a mathematics major with a music performance minor . . . Dean's List honoree her first two years at LC . . . Phi Eta Sigma member . . . part of LC's Westover Honors Society . . . PASS leader . . . sings in the LC Choir . . . involved with the Omicron Delta Kappa chapter at LC.
