Senior (2009): Finished her season in style, posting another fantastic year on the backline for LC . . . great at stepping in front of passes and heading the other way . . . consistent and steady as they come . . . fought off a mid-season injury to play in 20 games, starting in 19 . . . named a team captain for the 2009 season . . . posted one assist on the campaign, helping out on a goal against Denison.

Junior (2008): One of the smartest and most technical defenders in the ODAC . . . usually assigned to the opposing team's best scorer . . . has superior stick skills for a backliner . . . played in all 24 games, getting the starting assignment in each . . . helped LC to the second-best goals against average in the league, and the 28th best in D-III . . . moved up front against Shenandoah, and fed Erin Majerowicz for a goal, her lone assist of the season . . . has currently started the last 48 games for the Hornets.

Sophomore (2007): Had a stellar sophomore season, as she stepped into the starting lineup . . . played and started in all 24 games, helping LC to a 0.95 goals against average, tops in the ODAC . . . had one defensive save on the season, stopping a shot against Villa Julie.

Freshman (2006): Had a productive freshman season, as she played in 20 games as a newcomer . . . had five shots throughout her first year.

MaranoBefore LC: Was a star defender for Caesar Rodney HS and head coach Deb Windett . . . lettered four years for the Riders, starting three seasons . . . was All-Henlopen Conference two seasons, while leading CRHS to a Delaware State title in 2004 . . . also competed in lacrosse and soccer.

Personal: Parents Anthony and Debbie Marano . . . has one brother . . . named to the 2008 Dean's List . . . nursing major . . . Special Olympic volunteer.
