Sophomore (2008): Followed up her freshman season with an impressive sophomore campaign . . . started the season with a 13th place finish at the Blue Marlin Invitational . . . was the top LC finisher at the Madison-Kiwanis Invite, coming in 12th place after booking a time of 20:19 for the 5K course . . . crossed the line in 23rd place at the JMU Open Classic, netting a total time of 22:57 . . . ran the long 6K course at the Dickinson Long-Short meet in 24:30, good for 26th place . . . placed 69th at the Paul Short Invitational, clocking a time of 23:49 . . . finished fifth overall at the ODAC Championship meet, earning All-ODAC after finishing in 22:42, the second-best time in school history . . . placed 23rd at the Regional meet, running a 23:51.
Freshman (2007): Four top 10 finsihes and five top-15 finishes . . . voted MVP of the Hornets this season . . . won the Generals Cross Country Invitational with a time of 24:38, placed fourth at the ODAC Championships with a time of 24:32, and 12th at the South/Southeast Regional to qualify for the NCAA Championships at 23:50 . . . ran a then school record time of 23:18 at the NCAA Championship meet, shattering the previous record of 23:43.
Before LC: Was a member of the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (APW) High School track team, where she was a standout for the Rebels.
Personal: Parents Edward and Deborah Pernisi . . . five sisters . . . Dean's List honoree . . . student worker in LC Library . . . also runs track for the Hornets.
