Service-learning courses at Lynchburg College are hands-on. They combine classwork and community service, providing students an opportunity to connect the academic experience with the service experience.
Successful service-learning courses link the service opportunities to self-reflection, self-discovery, and the acquisition and comprehension of values, skills, and knowledge.
Although service-learning courses are created by the academic schools of the College, they regularly connect with projects of the Center for Community Development and Social Justice.
