Jenny Herrick, RN, BAS, DTM, CLL
"It's Laughter We're After
"
Laughter does not come easily for everyone! Humor is OUT there ... we just need to put on our "comic glasses" and look for it. Join us as Jenny shows us how to do this and why "laughter is the best medicine."
Jenny Herrick is a motivational humorist and professional clown who inspires thousands of people to "lighten up, loosen up, and laugh a lot." Retired from nursing, Jenny is president of a presentation and training business, "a.k.a. - All Kidding Aside," author of You Laugh, I'll Drive and contributor to Conversations on Health and Wellness by Dr. John Gray, Dr. Norman Rosenthal, and Dr. Earl Mindell. In 2000, she traveled to China on a fun medicine delegation with Dr. Patch Adams, which inspired her to form a hospital-based caring clowning troupe that she continues to manage today. In 2001, after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, she joined other clowns at Ground Zero in New York City to spread "mirth aid" to rescue workers. In 2003, she became Iowa's first Certified Laughter Leader.
