LC Men’s Lax Breezes to 20-4 Win over Randolph-Macon

LYNCHBURG, VA – Senior A.J. Tinklepaugh (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) and sophomore Johnny Black (Timonium, MD/St. Paul’s) each scored four times Saturday as the second-ranked Lynchburg College men’s lacrosse team defeated Randolph-Macon College 20-4 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

The Hornets scored eight of the games first nine goals and never looked back. Sophomore Ryan Cranston (West Chester, PA/Henderson) scored three times and added two assists, Tyler Tolson (Lutherville, MD/Loyola Blakefield) had two scores while Brian McCulloch (Annandale, VA/W.T. Woodson) had four assists and one score. Kyle McGuire (Burke, VA/Robinson) posted a goal and an assist and five other Hornets had single goals.

Peter LaPaglia scored twice for Randolph-Macon (5-6/0-5 ODAC) and George Murphy had two helpers. The Hornets out-shot the Yellow Jackets 51-22 and controlled 23 of the game’s 28 face-offs.

The Hornets (10-1/4-0) travel to fourth-ranked Roanoke College next Saturday at 1 p.m. for another ODAC matchup.
