Hornets Men’s Tennis Splits Two Matches
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men’s tennis team split a pair of non-conference matches Saturday, losing to Christopher Newport University 6-1 and defeating Maryville College (TN) 4-3.
Against CNU, sophomore Jason Duimstra (Toms River, NJ/Toms River) scored the only Hornet victory, 6-2, 6-1 at #6 singles.
In the second match, Robert Lanza (Tampa, FL/Berkeley prep) defeated his Maryville opponent 6-0, 6-2 at #1 singles and David O’Brien (Manassas, VA/Osbourn) was victorious at #4 singles.
The Hornets (4-6) will face Emory & Henry College Sunday at Roanoke College.
