CAMP LEJEUNE, NC – The Lynchburg College golf team competed Friday in the first day of the Marine Corps Intercollegiate Invitational held at the Camp Lejeune Marine Corps base.

Senior Eric Bliley (Midlothian, VA/Trinity Episcopal) paced Lynchburg with a 77 on the 72-par Gold Course. Ryan Van Pelt (Clifton, VA/Robinson) fired a 79, while Pat Prior (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire), Jason Early (Radnor, PA/Radnor) and Chris Henry (Mathews, VA/Mathews) each carded 80s.

The Hornets will play their second round of the invitational Saturday afternoon.
