Rahl Scores Four as LC Women Defeat Bridgewater 18-7

LYNCHBURG, VA – Junior midfielder Sarah Rahl (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) scored four times Wednesday as the Lynchburg College women’s lacrosse team defeated visiting Bridgewater College 18-7 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match-up.

The Hornets scored eight of the game’s first nine goals and entered halftime with a 10-4 lead. Kelly Vornadore (Springfield, VA/Bishop Ireton) and Shannon Smith (Marshall, VA/Osborn Park) each had two goals and an assist, while Caitlin Green (White Hall, MD/Hereford) scored twice. Nichole Locher (Yorktown Heights, VA/Yorktown) and Cara Leepson (Middleburg, VA/Mercersburg) each had a goal and an assist. Ji-Young Eun (Fairfax, VA/W.T. Woodson) made nine stops in goal for the Hornets.

Abby Morris had three scores for Bridgewater (2-5/0-2 ODAC).

The Hornets (4-1/2-0 ODAC), riding a four-game winning streak, host ODAC foe Virginia Wesleyan College Sunday at 1 p.m.
