Hornet Softball’s Caroline Cubbage Garners ODAC Hitter of the Week Honors
SALEM, VA – Lynchburg College softball player Caroline Cubbage (Bridgewater, VA/Turner Ashby) was rewarded with Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Hitter of the Week honors Monday.
Cubbage continued to strike fear into opposing pitchers, hitting six homeruns last week, posting a five-game homer streak. She also scored 13 times, drove in 14 runs and had a slugging percentage of 1.571, while posting an on-base percentage of .667. She has already set the LC career record (14) and season mark (9) for homeruns.
Lynchburg (14-4/2-0 ODAC) is in action Tuesday when the Royals of Eastern Mennonite University come to town for an ODAC doubleheader at 2:30 p.m.
