LC Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season

CONWAY, SC – The Lynchburg College track & field team opened its 2006 outdoor season at Coastal Carolina University Saturday.

Bryan Kirby (Alexandria, VA/Edison) ran a 1:57.18 in the 800-meters, Richard Noles (Chesterfield, VA/Manchester) finished the 200 in 23:19 and Ricky Flynn (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) ran a 4:06.52 in the 1,500. Earl Graves (Richmond, VA/Heritage) ran the 400 meters in 50.63 while Scott Decker (Clifton, VA/Robinson) and Anthony Pavia (Forest, VA/Jefferson Forest) cleared 14’7" and 14’1", respectively, in the pole vault.

Amanda Diver (Boxford, MA/Masconomet) completed the 800-meters in 2:27.30 and Heather Shaw (Alpine, NJ/Tenafly) cleared 9’0.25" in the pole vault on the women’s side.

The Hornets travel to Emory University (GA) Saturday.
