Be Sure To Remember

  • Internship sites can be found by the student, with the assistance of the staff in the Academic and Career Services Center and/or by faculty and advisor referrals; 
  • Internships sites can be found locally, nationally, or internationally;
  • All interns must complete a contract of registration within 3 weeks of beginning the internship and will not be officially registered for credit until doing so (See deadlines);
  • Internship registration policies for both the summer and winter terms are the same as regular enrollment policies.  Additional tuition is required for these sessions;
  • Credit will be awarded at the rate of one credit hour for every 40  hours of work on the designated internship activities – for example, a 3 credit internship requires a minimum of 120 hours completed;
  • All interns must complete a final internship report that meets guidelines set forth by the faculty supervisor as designated in the internship contract.
  • Faculty supervisors will assign grades based on four evaluations, a final report, and any other requirements set forth by the faculty supervisor.
