#01 Katie DeLorenzo
Katie DeLorenzo, a senior goalie from Mountain Lakes, NJ, played 200 minutes in net this week without allowing a goal. She held Emory & Henry College scoreless on Wednesday in a 4-0 Hornet victory, making five saves. She made five saves Sunday at Christopher Newport University as the two final 16 teams from a year ago played to a 0-0 double overtime tie. DeLorenzo, an accounting and economic finance major, has allowed just one goal in 944 minutes this season, for a 0.10 goals-against average.
The Lynchburg College Hornet of the Week is selected each Monday by the department of athletics. A student-athlete is eligible to win the award just once per season. |
