Men's Soccer
Flowers, a junior forward from Waynesboro, VA, scored the game-winner Saturday as the Lynchburg College men’s soccer team defeated Marymount University in overtime 2-1. He scored again Sunday as Lynchburg defeated the University of Mary Washington 2-1 to win the team trophy at the UMW Soccer Classic. Flowers, a health and movement science major, has 11 career goals in his three seasons as a Hornet.
The Lynchburg College Hornet of the Week is selected each Monday by the department of athletics. A student-athlete is eligible to win the award just once per season.
