Sports Hall of Fame
The Lynchburg College Sports Hall of Fame was established in 1978. Induction honors outstanding athletes for their athletic performance, leadership and team contributions while students at Lynchburg College. Men's athletics competition began competing withing the NCAA Division III ranks, while women's athletics competition began at this level in 1981. Prior to those years, competition was in college and university divisions.
Each year the Lynchburg College Alumni Association, through its board of directors, appoints a committee to review nominations for the Sports Hall of Fame. Any alumnus/alumna or friend of the college may make nominations for this award. Nominees should meet the criteria linked below in order to be considered for the honor.
Anyone interested in nominating an alumnus/alumna for this honor should submit his/her nomination in writing no later than January 1 of each calendar year. Nomination forms are available at: https://www.lynchburg.edu/x11406.xml
