Former two-time first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) honoree Beth Ellinger enters her third season as the head volleyball coach at Lynchburg College.

The Hornets finished her first season with a 17-13 record and won eight matches in a row before the conference tournament. LC had two student-athletes named to the All-ODAC second-team. Lynchburg improved in Ellinger's second season on the bench, winning 20 games and advancing into the ODAC Tournament second round for the first time in 10 years.

Ellinger, named to the All-ODAC first-teams in 2000 and 2001, was a first-team All-State selection in 2001 as well. She holds the school records for kills in a match (29), season (478 in 2001) and for a career (1,240 from 1998-2001). Ellinger also set the conference record for kills in a season in 2001.

Ellinger returned to the program in 2004 and assisted head coach Dr. Marie Lewis for two seasons until Lewis’ retirement this spring. She had also assisted at Heritage High School from 2002-04 and was the junior varsity coach.

Ellinger also currently serves as a regional program manager for the Virginia Skyline Girl Scouts. She graduated in 2002 from Lynchburg with a B.A. in human development and learning and earned her Masters in Educational Leadership degree this summer.

Assistant Coach Dara SandiferDara Sandifer
Assistant Coach

Sandifer is in her first season on the bench for the Lynchburg College volleyball team. Sandifer was a two-sport stand out at Lynchburg, starting all four years for both the volleyball and softball teams. She was an honorable mention All-ODAC performer on the hardwood in 2007, setting the LC career assist mark with 3,204. On th diamond, she was a two-time All-ODAC honorable mention performer, taking home the ODAC Tournament All-Tournament team twice, once garnering the tournament's most outstanding player. Dara graduated with a degree in exercise physiology in 2008, and is working towards her masters here at LC.



Assistant Coach Corri PfisterCorri Pfister
Assistant Coach 

Corri Pfister is starting her first year with the Hornets volleyball team. A former player from 2001-2004, Pfister was named to the First-team All-ODAC squad in 2004 and holds the school records for most digs in a match, season and career. Pfister graduated from Lynchburg College with her Bachelor's in Psychology in 2005 and finished her Masters Degree in Counseling in 2007. She is in her second year serving as the Transfer Student Success Coordinator at Lynchburg College.
