HOW TO CERTIFY STUDENT STATUS:
Students and Alumni
Loan deferrals, degree verification, and enrollment certifications should be requested in writing to the Office of the Registrar.
- Requests can be made by completing the certification request form which you can print out and mail, or by e-mail to registrar@lynchburg.edu. Requests can also be made in person at the Office of the Registrar in Hall Campus Center.
- Requests usually take one to two days to complete. Because of volume, however, at the start of each semester certifications can take up to one week.
- Loan deferrals are processed in conjunction with the National Student Clearinghouse. Three time each semester we report the enrollment status of LC students to the Clearinghouse, which then reports electronically to most loan servicers. Our initial report to the Clearinghouse is within a week of the add deadline; the second is after the drop deadline.
