Students should Register for SOAR before completing the Schedule Preference Form.
Schedule Preference Form
Course schedules for freshmen are developed by the Academic Advising staff based on the preferences students list on the Schedule Preference Form. The Schedule Preference Form will be available on March 9 and should be completed by May 15 or as soon as possible before the student's SOAR session. Information will be sent to students who have submitted their deposit describing how to complete the Schedule Preference Form.
Freshmen Learning Communities
Learning communities are linked classes in which students learn in collaborative and interactive environments both in and outside of the classroom. Students may sign up for learning communities through the Schedule Preference Form.
Freshman Common Reading: To be announced May 15.
Freshmen should read the Freshman Common Reading before returning to LC in August. The book will be discussed with academic advisors during Welcome Week and will be used in all freshman English classes. Information about the book and a reading guide will be provided to all students at SOAR or mailed to students attending the August SOAR session.
